Dream On

Do not lose sight of your dreams! It is so easy to give up, yet so hard to continue to struggle for what you want. Dreams are not always easy to achieve. They are often easy to imagine, but to manifest them can be quite daunting. My morning reflection from a book called Moments of Peace for the Morning told me to have faith that we will achieve our goals, because God is always backing us. Therefore, when you feel that all hope is lost and that the breaks are not going your way, take a step back from the situation and allow your self to dream again. Allow yourself to imagine what other opportunities are out there. Then act! Ask questions, make phone calls, and most importantly do not be still. “If you can’t fly, run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl. But by all means, keep moving,” said Martin Luther King Jr.  Make moves in a direction that will open doors for you, one that will connect you to a bigger network that can help you and hopefully in the process, you can help others. No dream should be solely for the purpose of benefitting one because, “We belong to each other” said Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
